Meet Dr. Tzvi Furer
Dr. Tzvi Furer of Palm Tree Psychiatry understands that seeking psychiatric care is not an easy decision. As a double board-certified child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist, he works with children, teens, and adults navigating anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and the pressures that often come with high expectations and demanding environments.

Dr. Furer completed his psychiatry training at NYU Langone Health and the renowned Bellevue Hospital. He is a former Unit Chief for Inpatient Adolescent Psychiatry at Bellevue Hospital and former Associate Program Director of NYU’s Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship Program. Dr. Furer's clinical background includes academic psychiatry, hospital-based care, emergency psychiatry, and private practice work in both New York and Florida.

Much of Dr. Furer’s work centers around individuals who are accustomed to functioning at a high level, often while quietly managing significant internal stress. Patients often describe feeling constantly “on,” overthinking decisions, struggling to slow their mind down, or feeling pressure to hold everything together.
Palm Tree Psychiatry was designed to offer a highly individualized approach to care. The practice maintains a deliberately smaller panel so patients can receive more personalized and consistent care. Treatment recommendations are tailored thoughtfully, with an emphasis on discretion and understanding the full picture rather than rushing through appointments or relying on a one-size-fits-all approach.
We understand that finding the right psychiatrist is an important decision. Prospective patients and families are welcome to reach out to discuss whether Palm Tree Psychiatry may be a good fit.
